A graduate of Vidalia High School, Councilman Bob Dixon is a lifelong resident of Vidalia, Georgia. With a BA in Accounting from Georgia Southern University, Bob has over thirty-eight years of accounting experience, including both public and corporate accounting.  His experience has allowed him to work in many areas of accounting including producing budgets, calculating and paying taxes, and preparing and reviewing financial statements for many different types of businesses.  These are the skills that Bob uses as he serves on the City Council.  His experience, along with his care for others and his desire to make Vidalia a wonderful place to live and raise a family, benefit all citizens who share the city he calls home.

Bob has been involved in many organizations since returning to Vidalia after college. He is a 30+ year member of the Kiwanis Club, a former deacon at First Baptist Church Vidalia, formerly on the board at The Refuge Domestic Violence Shelter, Christian Concepts for Living, The Paul Anderson Youth Home, and the Vidalia Recreation Board.  Bob was also a founder of, former Chairman, and current board member for Vidalia Heritage Academy.

Bob is married to Suzanne Dixon, and together, they serve at Connection Church here in Vidalia.  They have four adult children and three grand-kids with whom they enjoy spending time.
