Loyd Mobley

Councilman Loyd Mobley is a lifelong resident of Vidalia and brings over 45 years of business experience, in various roles of management, to the Council.  Loyd loves this town and all it means to the citizens.  He thinks the citizens of Vidalia deserve a City Council that is only looking out for their best interests and will provide a solid vision for the future.  

Loyd is very active in the community, serving his church, Tabernacle Baptist, for over 45 years in various leadership roles.  In addition, he has been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Vidalia for over 25 years, a Board member and Past President of the Vidalia High School All Sports Booster Club, served on Vidalia Development Authority for over 19 years, was a member and past Chairman of the Sweet Onion Classic Board and a Volunteer Coach for the Vidalia Recreation Department for over 20 years.

Loyd has been married to his wife, Dawn, for 49 years.  They have two sons - Kevin (wife Dana) and Page (wife Charlsie) and 4 grandchildren - Brooke, Mia, Ty, and Baylor.
